Don’t Waste Your Money

This expensive product is a waste of time and money. If you buy this, plan on replacing it as soon as the seasons change. You will also have to replace your spa cover as well. The metal is glued on to the vinyl cover. When the temperature rises or lower, the vinyl expands and contracts. The vinyl started tearing less than 90 days after installation. and because the vinyl is expanding and contracting, it causes the metal frame to shift as well. Trying this product was a waste of time and money. Less than 3 months after installation, we had to replace the spa cover (not a cheap fix) and the lifter. You will have to eat all this cost because there are no refunds. Don’t Waste Your Money!

Solid product, terrible instructions

I had a covermate 2 for years and got tired of replacing the bent arms. Installed the vanish last week and so far it’s a lot sturdier and seems less likely to bend. The shock absorbers help to open and close it. Biggest issue is installation. It’s as if the instructions were written backwards. No thought to accessing nuts and bolts after other parts were installed. Labels on parts were incomplete or missing. Necessary plastic separators were not on the plans. I’m quite handy and it took 4 hours. Also the glue (yes glue) needed to connect the top to the lifter was messy and left white stains. Definitely use painters tape to protect the cover. I have no idea what happens if you need to replace your cover. Guess you get a new lifter?

Installation instructions could of been

Installation instructions could of been more clear. You need to provide instructions where the corners are rounded!
